We did it last year, let's do it again!

Hi,

my name is Dani Cohen. If you are on my page you probably already know that. Lol. This year like like last year I will be playing on Team Eli in the RCCS tournament to help raise money for families in need for cancer treatment for their loved ones. This tournament hits home as my mother a"h was diagnosed in 2012 with a brain tumor which shook up our entire family. During the time she was ill my family and I were devistated and broken about what had just happened. I can't imagine the pain on top of all the pain it can bring someone telling your loved ones that need treatment "sorry, we have to wait till we can afford it" or even dealing with the struggle alone of money. It is to much to ask of a person. There attention should be directly towards there loved one. So before you just click/scroll past my statuses or this page think about if C"V you were in need of RCCS, would you want people to give then? I am only asking for a couple of dollars to change a families life. Thank you and T'ezkah Lmitzvos.

On March 21st and March 22nd, I will be facing off against cancer as I play in the annual RCCS Hockey Classic, benefiting the families and patients of RCCS.

The mission of RCCS is to tackle cancer challenges, ease medical treatment, cover insurance premiums to lighten the financial burden, and make cancer care more accessible. Without this great organization, thousands of people would stare death in the face with little chance of recovery and survival. RCCS stands by each individual throughout every step of the process, holding their hands along the way to help them fight and win the war against cancer.

Please help this life saving organization by supporting me and my team as together we face off against cancer.

In Memory of
Mindy Cohen A

My mother A”h, Mindy Cohen, taught me what it means to live life to the fullest. When she was diagnosed with a brain tumor in 2012, our lives were shaken up. During her battle with cancer there was not a day that would come that she would start complaining “Why did this happen to me?”. Every day she woke up and she fought for her life. She taught me the greatest lessons in such a short time. My mother grew up in Canada where hockey was the sport. She loved it. During this tournament when times get tough, your legs get numb, fatigue sets in and you feel like giving up, look at the patch on your jersey to remind yourself: live life to the fullest! You have to keep moving forward and push through the pain. That’s why we are here. Just like my mother taught me. Tough times don’t last but tough people do.
