Dear Anshei Family,
As we have all seen over the last years our shul is Baruch Hashem growing exponentially. So many of our members are unaware of those who came before us.
Hopefully, you will never have the need to contact the Rofeh Cholim Cancer Society (RCCS). One of our past presidents, (who was integral in turning the shul from a house to a building), Perry Finkelman A”H did need the services of RCCS. In short, when someone is Chas V’Shalom diagnosed with cancer, RCCS partners with the family in a myriad of ways, easing as much of the burden as possible.
RCCS hosts an ice hockey fundraising tournament annually. This year 3 young men, Zaq Finkelman, Yoel Rosman & Noah Wengrofsky, who grew up as children in our Anshei Family are participating on a team in memory of Perry. As we look around the shul today there are so many people who are unaware of the foundation the shul was built on and by whom it was built. It is this foundation that allows our shul to flourish today and remind ourselves of our very humble beginnings.
Obviously, we are all asked to reach in our pockets to give to worthwhile causes. This unique opportunity will allow us to show our gratitude to Perry A”H. You may never have met him, but as The Anshei Family we all owe him a debt of gratitude.
