On April 7 & 8, I will be facing off against cancer by playing in my 4th RCCS (Rofeh Cholim Cancer Society) Ice Hockey Tournament.
RCCS provides financial support for patients and their families who would otherwise be unable to afford much needed cancer treatment. Over the past year, RCCS has supported 5,194 worldwide patients with over $72 million worth of medical care. To donate: https://www.rccsclassic.org/
For me, this tournament is deeply personal. I have, unfortunately, had many friends and family over the years who have battled cancer and have shared with them the many struggles experienced that have resulted in both positive and negative outcomes.
Our team will be playing in memory of Dr. Mark Weiner z"l who battled brain cancer for over 6 years. While the Weiner family was able to receive top medical care, this "luxury" is not always accessible for thousands of patients and caregivers. Mark's son Zach is a very close friend of mine and a key player and leader on the team.
I feel empowered that I can use my passion for hockey as a way to help better the lives of cancer patients and their families, and hope you will join me with a donation before April 7: https://www.rccsclassic.org/
My sincere thanks for your support!
Bram
